 The Planet Pascal

Circumnavigating its sun in a galaxy far, far away,
Is a planet named Pascal that decided to go astray.

And so P slipped out of orbit to wander its way
And explore new vistas of space, come what may.

This escape, at first, O, it seemed such fun,
To feel free in release from the pull of its sun.

But then, with a shudder, and with utter astound,
It sensed the infinite space, the silence, all around.

Pascal made a terrified turn, heading back to where it had been,
And when its sun wasn’t looking, slipped back into orbit again.
